Over the last 13 years of running a business, I have learned from both success and failure and there is one thing that stands out: growth does not come for free. With over £100k+ spent on business growth initiatives throughout my journey - some hit and some miss – I have accumulated a wealth of experience that you can learn from when it comes to strategic investing for growth. The Power of Networking

An important lesson I've learned is the power of networking. I've found that networking is essential to growing my businesses, and I've made some great connections through networking events and online communities.

The Value of Education

Another big learning for me has been the value of education. While there are a lot of "gurus" out there who claim to have all the answers, the truth is that nobody knows everything. That's why it's so important to continue learning and expanding your knowledge base. I've found that the more I learn, the better equipped I am to grow my businesses.

The Importance of Systems and Processes

Another important lesson I've learned is the importance of systems and processes. In order to be successful in business, you need to have systems and processes in place that will help you to achieve your goals. Without systems and processes, it's easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day details and lose sight of your overall objectives.

It's important to have the self-discipline to stay focused on your goals and not let yourself get sidetracked by things that aren't important. Without self-discipline, it's easy to get overwhelmed and give up on your business dreams.

The Importance of Persistence

One of the most important lessons I've learned is the importance of persistence. When you're starting a business, there will be times when things are tough and it seems like giving up is the best option. However, it's important to persevere through these tough times and continue working towards your goals. I'm grateful that I've persisted through difficult times in my businesses, as it has ultimately led to success

There is no one-size-fits-all solution to business success.

What works in your business is not what will work in other peoples business and vis versa. 

It depends on your own goals, your own version of what success is, and what you want your life to look like (including how you spend your time). Plugging and playing someone elses solution to success will rarely work - you need to work out what you want and adapt what you learn to install that in your business. 

In conclusion, over the last 13 years in business, I have learnt that consistency and diligence are key when it comes to successful business growth. Applying the lessons outlined here will help maximise your investments in growing your business.
