Companise House now require all directors to have their ID verified. This is the process that is required to do that. At the end of the process, you will be provided with your Personal Code. You must keep a note of this, it is very important and required by yourself (or your accountant) for your filings.

Either create or sign in:
If going to create - follow the on screen steps
Select "no" then you will be taken to the following options
We suggest you use your mobile to verify
Follow the steps online after selecting continue
It will ask if you are on a computer or phone
If you select computer then you get asked if you have access to a phone and what type for ID verification
And you will be provided with a QR code to use to verify yourself
You can then use the app
Once you have downloaded the app, login and you will then follow the onscreen instructions on your phone.
Follow the on screen instructions until you reach the following screen on your phone:
Once there you will see the tab on your computer change to complete and you can select continue
Continue through the steps to confirm your details:
Once you have gone through the steps you will be given your Companies House Personal Code. You need to keep a note of this, and your accountant will also require this code to file on your behalf.
Some people are reporting a tech glitch with the system when should get taken to Companies House it says: system error - try later. If this happens then go separately to Companies House and go to ID check and then you can complete the check there and get your personal code.
